Birding South West

Southwest WA is a haven for bird enthusiasts and a biodiversity hotspot that boasts a remarkable array of avian wonders. Nestled throughout this pristine region are 17 endemic bird species, each uniquely adapted to the diverse landscapes that characterise this area.

As we explore the Southwest, we’ll be greeted by the melodious calls of those species found nowhere else on the planet, from the vibrant Red-capped Parrot to the elusive Noisy Scrub-bird. Beyond the ornithological treasures, this region is renowned for its stunning landscapes. We will travel the shimmering barks and ochre pits of Dryandra’s Wandoo Woodlands and the rugged coastlines and heaths of the South Coast, where the biodiverse landscapes and unique birding experiences converge in an adventure like no other.
