Girralong Retreat
Girralong Rainforest Retreat is a 100 Hectare conservation property comprising sub-tropical rainforest and wet-and-dry eucalypt forests. It is hidden away in a secluded valley adjoining the Juugawaarri Nature Reserve, 50 minutes inland from Nambucca Heads, northeast New South Wales. The property has an abundance of wildlife including several threatened species. Over 100 bird species have been recorded to date and most of the east coast subtropical rainforest and wet forest species can be readily seen from the house and driveway.
Situated at Bellawongarah, 15 minutes from the historic village of Berry and 20 minutes from the picturesque Kangaroo Valley, we are just over two hours’ drive from the Sydney airport by car. There is a train and shuttle bus https://www.shoalhavenshuttle.com/ service to Berry from the airport.
Situated on 14 acres Blueberry Hills on Comleroy offers a rural retreat with beautiful views and natural surrounds from the ridge top position.
Only a little over an hour drive to the north-west of Sydney, it provides an ideal place to escape the bustle of city life. One can delight in the tranquil atmosphere amongst the rolling foothills, where sheep, cows, alpacas and horses graze.
Bundeena Accommodation
If you want to start your birding journey close to the birds and your guide, or extend your time in Royal and ‘do your own thing’, we offer an accommodation option in Bundeena. Our accommodation is a separate, private building on our property, this suiting an individual or a couple. Our accommodation includes a queen bed, en-suite, lounge room, small kitchenette (no indoor cooking facilities available), outdoor BBQ and all your linen needs
